Products
Zeyton produces hydroxytyrosol-rich extracts from olives, the fruit of Olea europaea L, through a fully mechanical patented process with no chemical transformations or addition of any sort of solvent. The raw material used is 100% natural.
Zeyton products are natural matrices where polyphenols are stabilised in the mixture by other naturally present substances; they are, thus, stable formulations and do not modify the composition in normal storage conditions.
Zeyton 5
Composed of at least 5% hydroxytyrosol + tyrosol, of which at least 4% hydroxytyrosol.
Zeyton 5 FOR OLIVE OIL
Composed of at least 5% hydroxytyrosol + tyrosol, of which at least 4% hydroxytyrosol.
Zeyton 6 POWDER
Composed of at least 6% hydroxytyrosol + tyrosol, of which at least 5% hydroxytyrosol.

Application in olive oil
Zeyton developed a specific product for incorporation in olive oil, allowing the latter to maintain its organoleptic features.
Olive oil may use the claim “Consumption of olive oil polyphenols contributes to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative damage“, provided that it “contains at least 5 mg of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives (e.g. oleuropein complex and tyrosol) per 20 g of olive oil. In order to bear the claim, information shall be given to the consumer that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 20 g of olive oil.”
Other applications
Zeyton products may be used as well to develop enriched food products, namely:
- Margarines and butters
- Edible oils
- Yoghurts
- Biscuits
- Meat and sausages
Besides them, Zeyton Powder may be integrated in capsules, on its own or with other active ingredients.
